Understanding CCOF and childcare fee assistance
The Child Care Operating Funding program, commonly called CCOF, provides operating funding to eligible licensed childcare providers.
CCOF is not a credit that parents apply for directly. However, it supports related programs that may reduce the childcare fees paid by eligible families.
Two important programs for parents are:
Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative
The Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI) provides funding to participating licensed childcare providers so they can reduce monthly fees for eligible children.
Families enrolled with an approved participating provider generally do not need to submit a separate CCFRI application. The applicable reduction is reflected directly in the childcare fees charged by the provider.
Participation and approved reductions can change, so families should contact Little Moon Childcare to confirm the current funding status and fees for their child’s care arrangement.

Affordable Child Care Benefit
The Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB) is a separate provincial benefit for eligible families. Eligibility and benefit amounts are determined by the Government of British Columbia and are generally based on factors including family income, family size and the reason childcare is required.
Parents must apply for this benefit. If approved, the benefit may cover part of the family’s eligible childcare expenses. ACCB may be available in addition to an applicable CCFRI fee reduction.

How to get started
If you are considering childcare at Little Moon Childcare:
Contact us to ask about space availability and current fees.
Ask which provincial fee-reduction programs currently apply at our facility.
Review your eligibility for the Affordable Child Care Benefit.
Submit your ACCB application through the official B.C. government service.
If required, Little Moon Childcare can complete the provider portion of your childcare arrangement.
Please submit sensitive information—such as Social Insurance Numbers or financial documents—only through the official provincial application system. Do not send this information by ordinary email.
